My stay at Kona Reef Resort was largely enjoyable, thanks to the stunning views and the comfort of our unit. However, the experience was somewhat overshadowed by the outdated furnishings in our unit and some cleanliness issues we encountered. The location is fantastic for exploring the local area, but I wish the cleanliness was better addressed upon our arrival.

Our stay at the Kona Reef Resort was truly special, especially for its amazing ocean views and proximity to downtown Kailua Kona. I stayed at Kona Reef and loved the location, which is a short walk to restaurants and shops in Kailua Kona. My room had a nice view of the pool and ocean, but the amenities weren’t ideal.
